SudsyMaggie Goes To Hawaii

I’ll spending a week on Maui this Thanksgiving with some friends from the island (er, my island – Vashon). I’m really excited as I’ve never been to Hawaii and it’s a great time of year to go somewhere warm and sunny while fall is testing our will to live back in the PNW. We’ll be staying near Lahaina on the west side of Maui. I’m starting to compile a list of things to see and do! Please post any and all suggestions in the comments, I’d love to hear them!

The Great Chia Kombucha Experiment

Since I’m not attending the Great American Beer Festival this year (but I did back in 2009), today marks a fun day of experimenting to figure out how to make my own GT Dave’s Grape Chia kombucha, my new love.

I’ve been brewing my own kombucha for 6+ months now, and thought hey! I could figure this out! So I stopped by Minglement, our super awesome natural food store on the island this morning and bought some lovely chia seeds in bulk. Let the experimenting begin!
