I recently discovered Postcrossing, “a postcard crossing project.” Basically the site facilitates random people sending postcards to other random people, all over the world. Simple but powerful concept!
Send a postcard and receive a postcard back from a random person somewhere in the world!
So far I’ve sent postcards to an 8 year old girl in Belarus, and an 8 year old boy in Germany. I just wrote a little something about living on Vashon, working in Seattle, the weather has been so-so & I’m looking forward to better weather in May. 8 or 80 – it’s fun to send and receive postcards!
I picked up some postcards along the Seattle waterfront on my way to the ferry, so naturally I’m sending Seattle themed postcards. I’ll have to swing through town tomorrow and get some Vashon Island ones.
In other news, I came across a robin’s egg in the driveway walking home tonight. Spring!
